Le Balze agritourist farm - Toscana beetween Chianti and Casentino

WHERE WE ARE

By car: Valdarno is between Florence and Arezzo. From the A1 motorway, exit at Valdarno (about 10 km from the farm) or Incisa (about 20 km). From Siena, you can reach Valdarno by travelling along the Valdambra or SS 408 road that crosses the Chianti region. This road takes you to Montevarchi through an incredibly beautiful landscape.
From the Valdarno exit, follow the indications for San Giovannin Valdarno (turning left) and go for about 2 km on the road (SP 11) that runs parallel to the motorway. Before San Giovanni turn toward Castelfranco di Sopra (SP 8) then turn right at km… as indicated by the white arrow for Agriturismo le Balze. Continue along the unpaved road through the beautiful "balze" landscape.

By plane: The nearest airport is in Florence (Peretola). From the airport you can easily reach the main train station or the A1 Bologna-Rome motorway at the Firenze Nord toll plaza, heading toward Rome.

By train: The most important train stations are Figline (055.951911), S. Giovanni Valdarno (tel. 055/9122208) and Montevarchi (tel. 055/980257). All three are centrally located and are connected with other towns in the area by bus service.
